What is the explanation for beauty trends?
I'm wondering if there is a psychological or physiological explanation to all beauty trends? I know the reasoning behind some, such as in the past, heavier women were more appealing because it signified wealth. Why, now, is skinny more attractive? Why is body hair considered unattractive on women, and why do women wear certain types of makeup like heavy eyeliner, etc? What are the thoughts behind beauty trends throughout the ages?|||It's all about celebrity. They set many of the trends. Celebrities dress a certain way, and the people who love them do the same. Ta-Da! Trend!|||I believe It comes from nature. Designers get inspired by the world, space, universe. It all comes from nature. Now body size. People develop different ideas. Like in some countries women with bigger hips are considered to be beautiful because it is easier to carry a baby. Skinny might be beautiful because they can be carried. They are light, and "feminine" Have you ever thought of the difference of the beauty between a pornstar and a fashion model? The body of pornstars all vary, but most are with big chests and big bottoms. Most of those women are skinny, and who are the people viewing them? Men. And who are we trying to please? Men. And p0rn has grown so much. So it is hard to be looking like a pornstar, you know what I mean?|||People at the front of style and fashion create new things and others, who emulate those people, follow.

I need a list of all the songs that Lumiere sings in "Beauty and the Beast". I know "Be Our Guest" is one of them. The cast has not gotten their scripts yet, so this is why I am wondering.|||It depends, which version are you doing?

Are child beauty pageants followers checked for pedophiles?
These days there are a lot of weird kiddy fetishists out there.
Do any child beauty pageant organizers check regular pageant followers to see if they are pedophiles, and do they restrict the use of private cameras.

ALSO don't say well my daughter loves doing them NO you as the adult love doing them NOT her!! How does a 10 month old love doing anything but drooling? Pageants are open to the public. And while pedos are not ALLOWED to go, it would be impossible to screen people at the door. Also, not all pedo's are on the sex offender list. Loads have never been busted for their crimes.

What do beauty schools look for on applications?
I have looked on many sites and not one site gave me an answer I am looking for. Is there like a general thing that beauty schools look at for you to excel in?|||Honestly, I think they accept anyone that can pay for it. I don't think there are any prerequisites, they are teaching you a skill, maybe a little artistic ability and good dexterity. Good Luck.|||Probably dedication to and passion for the craft. I know a lot of people who drop out of beauty school after a semester. The school doesn't want to waste time teaching someone who doesn't want to be there or thinks they're just taking the easy way out. On any type of application you should demonstrate why you deserve and want to be a part of whatever you're applying for.|||That information is not easy to find because it does not exist. You do not apply (even if schools say that they take applications, they are doing it to sound official), you sign up. The above answer was correct, you show up and pay, this is not like University.
