Beauty???????

does beauty really matter??|||This is a bit like an essay I did for my coursework "A-list or homeless person?" Beauty does matter, and it matters too much in today's society. Lots of people can say "no, it's what matters on the inside" but it's quite obvious that most people would like someone more if they looked nice.

It's not right, but it is, unfortunately, the power of the instinct. Again.|||It shouldn't but sadly these days it does!|||yes.|||I believe in inner beauty. I'm not beautiful myself, so I prefer to know what people are like inside. I prefer personality to looks.|||yes. all though it is only skin deep. but its what we all first see|||yes|||it matters to some extend,

as in it can help you achieve certain things(becoming a model , actress, celebrity) even though it shouldn't but then personality matters more.|||To a certain extent, its by no means everything. After all, theres someone for everyone|||I dont think it does and it shouldn't.

It matters what's inside of you.

You may think corny, but it's true!|||no|||I believe inner beauty matters.....those who are truly beautiful on the inside will appear beautiful on the outside as well by those who know them. Outer beauty(as in what Hollywood stresses) only matters to those who are superficial.|||beauty is in the eye of the beholder

so you tell me

:]

to me it does

but i find almost everything beautiful (or something similar) so i'm not prioritising much

personality always comes first anyway.|||to me? no, not really......|||well yes if you want to succeed in life? even thought beauty has nothing to do whether your successful or not!|||depends. you're beautiful if you feel good in your body - this way it is important.

but surely the idea of a perfect woman as a skinny tall blonde has fairly disappeared a long time ago... many people believe what's on the inside is really important in you :) and it really is the most important part of each of us. it makes us beautiful. :)|||Beauty Matters when you are doing it to feel good about yourself.. when you know you look good, you feel good! IF you are doing it strictly to impress others, then in that respect, its for the wrong reasons and is unhealthy. Truth is, your first impression is going to impact the way people percieve you. Looking good, and taking care of yourself matters... but beauty for others, does not.|||No, nobody can help the way they look you where born like it, its how you are and what you do, that really matters everyone is special in there own way.Everyone has something maybe looks or personality, some have both. But you are what you are and it doesn't matter how you look and if anyone says any different they are shallow.|||inner beauty more important than anything else....but society says outer beauty only. work on kindness, loyalty, faithfullness, goodness, truth and compassion.....|||It shouldn't but (the media is image obsessed), sadly yes.|||well yes it does but everybody will have their own things that make them beautiful to different people...some people like eyes...smiles etc but some people see beauty in others as they are simply nice people %26amp; treat others well!!|||yes of course it does.|||It shouldn't cos it ought to be skin deep %26amp; what you are like inside. Unfortunately it does looking at all the nips %26amp; tucks etc that go on.|||yup!!!!!!!!|||yes it does.|||I hope so, I'm training to be a beauty therapist :-) lol|||beauty is in the eye of the beholder err body....|||not to me, but the majority of our society judges people (mercillesly) by it :(

it's really disgusting that people who are "ugly" can become outcasts, even when they can be the nicest, most intelligent of people

let's be unorthodox :)
