What kind of training is required to become a beauty therapist?

What kind of training is required in order to become a professional beauty therapist and what kind of jobs are avalible within the beauty industry?|||You have two options.

One is to enrol and participate in a course certificate 4 or diploma are what employers are looking for.

Second is: take a traineeship. If you make an appointment at your local Apprenticeships Plus, VECCI, BGT or a job network providers and they can direct you where to go and even help place you!|||U need to go to college near u and do a beauty course.

Level 2 and level 3 u need to become a beauty therapist.

U have to get at least a d in maths and english.

U will learn different aspects of beauty facials, waxing, manicures, pedicures, tanning, electrical treatments, makeup etc.

It is not all practical be aware that there is lots of theory aswell like learning bones and muscles in parts of body.

It a hard profession to get a job in. You need to work hard and get experience in beauty after you completed your course as when you get a job they always want experience. You also need to practise quite alot on practicals to do assessments and make sure you got enough people to come in to be models.

People think beauty is for dumb people but it harder than you think it is. 24 people was in my beauty class and by the end there was only 10 in our class so think hard before u do it.

I am now working in a salon near where I live and I am 19 years old but I really love beauty and it something that I am very passionate about. Out of the class i was in at college 2 people out of the 10 got a job in beauty. so think about it before u decide.
