What is beauty, is beauty is limited to the outer apperance of the body?

If beauty is the outer apperance of the body, then why same person looks beautiful to one and not beautiful to other ? Sometime people get attracted to ugly thing also.|||Nope.. it is the totality of one's personhood. The true measure of beauty in a person is skin deep.. means that the outside appearance alone is not enough gauge that's why it varies with each person.|||I think beauty is what you see when you love something or someone for whatever reasons. When I first clapped eyes on a certain guy years ago and I saw him from behind I thought he had potential 'cause he had this long gorgeous hair, but then he turned around and I saw his face I thought 'No thanks!' lol!

But a few months later when I knew him better I started thinking 'He has such lovely eyes' and then 'He has the nicest smile'. Now I think he is one of the best looking guys I know and many of his other female friends think so too.

Also some babies are really ugly, but their mother's think they are the most beautiful creatures that ever breathed!|||true beauty is found within...|||As they say, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." What is beautiful to one person, may not be to another, b/c we all vary in what we are attracted to.

Personally, I find more beauty in people's 'flaws' than anything else. I don't consider them flaws....things like freckles or dimples or the way they move their mouth when they're nervous or the way they talk too fast when they're excited. You get my point. It's those little things that make a person beautiful. It's in their attitude and their personality...in the way they smile and laugh...it's about so much more than the exterior. Beauty starts there...but whether it ends there or just begins varies from person to person.|||Inner beauty; you become attracted to looks, by who they are.|||A bad attitude can make an attractive person less attractive just like a wonderful personality can make a less attractive person seem more attractive.|||I think it depends on the "beholder's" self esteem.

If it is low, they feel they have to settle. If it is too high, they tend to be too shallow.

It also encompasses other things, like attraction. I think a person's childhood has a lot of impact on that. People tend to look for characteristics that are "nostalgic" or "familiar". For this reason some women marry men that remind them of their fathers, and men tend to prefer women who remind them of their mothers.

Men who had a mother who treated them good and provided like a mother should, usually fall for women who are nurturing, and enjoy taking care of their home. Same for women who marry fartherly types...strong men who "bring home the bacon" and are good with their hands.

Of course, this is just a generalization...but you get the idea~|||Beauty is not only outer appearance of body, but also spiritual beauty which is everlastings %26amp; divine one.A beautiful person or object will lose physical charm but true beauty of the spirit shall remain eternal.

"BEAUTY IS TRUTH,TRUTH IS BEAUTY"(JOHN KEATS)

Uglyness can be beautiful if it is presented artisticaly.

The concept of beauty is the one created by imagination.Even ugliness is transformed into beauty, if it is artistically(cretively) presented.|||Some people are attracted to other people only physically (their looks). Other people are attracted to people with personality (what's on the "inside"). And some people think that to be considered "beautiful" you must have both those qualities, outer %26amp; inner beauty. So beauty isn't limited to outer appearance of the body to some people.|||To me beauty is best defined as the quality that gives pleasure to the mind or senses and is associated with such properties as harmony of form or color, excellence of artistry, truthfulness, and originality. Beauty is normally in the eye of the beholder so what I define as beauty to you is not. In other words one man meat is another poisonous. People dont get attracted to ugly things coz to them that what you view as ugly is beautiful.
